Certification begins with a live two-hour training, in person or on Zoom, followed by short follow-up sessions and a graduation and pinning ceremony. Graduates become Certified Bloom Grief Coordinators. Other church leaders are welcome to attend alongside their grief coordinators.

Access to the recorded course You Don’t Have to Grieve Alone (a $147 value per coordinator), along with each graduate’s certificate and Bloom coordinator pin, is included at no additional charge.

Required Training Materials — $100 per participant

Each participant receives the Bloom Coordinator Certification Materials: the Bloom Grief Coordinator Training and Ministry Guide, available only through certification, along with How to Step Out of Grief and Bloom: A Practical Guide and the How to Step Out of Grief and Bloom Journal.

Materials are paid at registration or sponsored by the church. We order and ship all materials to the host church and cover the shipping cost.

The materials fee is separate from the church’s training fee.

Grief touches every home, including families who may never walk through your church doors on their own. Bloom prepares church leaders and designated volunteers to establish and lead faith-centered grief support that reaches beyond the church walls. Coordinators leave with practical tools they can put into action immediately to organize their ministry and serve grieving members, families, and neighbors.
